2006, despite
severe drought conditions affecting so much of America, Medart
Engine still grew modestly. Medart Engine's OEM gains were
another record breaking year. Dry conditions shorten equipment
and engine duty cycles, thereby lowering sales of all parts.
The Marine Division enjoyed strong growth and more fully integrated
the recent Beacon purchase. The Marine Division launched a new
complete consumer marketing program for our customers that will
significantly grow their sales business and grow our partnership
together. Our product offerings further expanded in our Marine
Division for the 2007 season. Long time associate, Steve White
was promoted to General Marketing and Purchasing Manager. This
change will allow Barry Slotnick, General Manager to assume a
complete focus on sales. Judy Jones was promoted to Customer
Service Manager. Her role will be to continue the Medart
heritage of "true customer service" with continuous people and
knowledge training. On a personal note, Lorette Medart, wife
of our founder J. R. Medart turn 100 in August of 2006. She is
still sharp as can be as well as a model of health and positive
thinking.
